Alison Pill
Pill started out in Canadian films, but had to wait a few years before breaking into its way into the American market. The most notable of these appearances was an episode from the Canadian series Traders, which starred Bruce Gray. Pill scored a spot in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, Michael Ensign, Michael G. Hagerty, Naren Shankar. She narrated the episode with "Would, Could, Shoulda". Pill's performance as Picard was followed by a prominent supporting part as "Katie" as a character in Devs. This TV show that was created by FX Productions on Hulu and was produced by the digital-VFX firm Double Negative, featured her in every episode. Similarities between the and the two shows didn't stop from there. They revealed that the main theme of Devs is the preservation of awareness in an artificial created creature. This is similar to what Data had done in Picard's Season 1 finale "Et In Arcadia Ego Part 2."
